A laid back luxury ranch on a lazy Sunday morning…reading the paper or writing in my journal, cup of coffee in hand, enveloped in forest green, and surrendering to the full frontal impact of those breathtaking views. That for me sums up the vibe of our Ashdown Forest lighting project.
Elliot Pendant
Carla and I were overjoyed to visit project manager Victoria from Heirloom Home this month for a little progress report of the build and to finally start to see the lights installed in their forever home.
It was nearly a year ago that we carried out the first lighting consultation on this building site @farmontheforest. It has felt a bit like watching my roses grow from bare root roses and slowly begin to bloom.
We have thoroughly enjoyed playing a part in this beautiful project with jaw dropping views and assisting project manager Victoria @heirloom_home in selecting the most fitting and striking decorative lights throughout to achieve her specific brief.
It was very important to us that we incorporated pieces which did not interfere with the views and which felt like they had been in this home for an eternity. With this in mind, hand rubbed brass finishes, aged iron and cement strokes all feature heavily in this lighting scheme.
I had been shown the Elliot pendant by his creator @suzannekasler when we met at @highpointmarket and using that piece in this project was yet another perfect suggestion from Carla.
We are very excited about seeing the fully finished project later in the year and with any luck the forest will have woken from her winter slumber and she will be in full colour ready for our fabulous photographer John Knight to capture her beauty in its entirety.
We will miss our visits here and the warm welcome we always get from the on-site security….
Love and light
