Inspired by one of the house owner’ favourite London hotels; this kitchen project was a dream to create with Kelly Wearstler bronze and alabaster lighting throughout. The bespoke kitchen the owner inherited with the house purchase, failed to hit the sweet spot and was a far cry from this kitchen’s new dark and sultry mood which now lends itself perfectly to late night intimate chats under the moonlighting of the floating alabaster disc chandelier.
Utilising the kitchen’s existing bespoke cabinetry was essential; this was to prevent wastage and allocate as much budget on the lighting. Local wood painting experts Chest of Drawers were called in to professionally spray paint the cabinets with their own secret paint recipe.
Mandarin stone Viola marble was installed as a splashback to create a storm-like striking backdrop to the most beautiful bronze and alabaster lighting scheme from our Kelly Wearstler range.
Keen to move away from the traditional three pendant kitchen island lighting, we handpicked one main impactful central piece with two alabaster Otto solitaires on either side, to maximise the moonlight on the black stone island, once all the downlighters get turned off after hours.
This beautiful home with breathtaking views across the whole of Tunbridge Wells is now for sale:
